hi changing and welcome. i dong know about the drugs affects, but i can tell you that my first few days i was really, really tired and sleepy too. i think its a withdrawl and enjoy it because you are cleaning your system. i dont know about anyone else here but after 3 days i then started sleeping less and woke up early feeling wide awake. never been like that before and i like it. anyway glad you are here and keep us posted. I had the same thing for the first fews weeks on Chantix and than it got better. It is a good excuse the take real good care of yourself! I am not sure if it was Chantix or nicotine withdrawal or both. My engery is much better than when I was a smoker, so you have that to look forward to a few weeks down the line. Take care Rose My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 550 Amount Saved: $101.25 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 19 Mins: 51 Seconds: 53

Changing, I was so tired in the beginning I could hardly keep my head up! I think its a mixture of the meds and (I just love this one!!!) carbon monoxide withdrawal. This is so normal. Take the time you need to rest. All the best to you, Cheers, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/13/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 44 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,346 Amount Saved: $396 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 1 Mins: 8 Seconds: 28

Question...I'm soooo tired & can sleep for more hours than I thought possible! I'm taking Chantix - is it the Chantix or is this a normal symptom of nicotine withdrawal?Text My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/24/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 61 Amount Saved: $13 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 5 Mins: 2 Seconds: 24

Oh good - it's nice to know that this fatigue is not uncommon and that it will go away. It may be part of withdrawal. I am just now getting over my fatigue. I was so exhausted all the time I couldn't function. I am just now getting over it. I'm even back to taking the dogs for walks. For a long time, I was too tired to walk them and put down puppy pads. I was so tired, I couldn't pick up their bowls to put food in. I threw kibble on the floor and let them eat it. My poor dogs. They really stuck by me. Part of it maybe the body's defenses, suddenly able to heal itself using what energy you have fighting cravings and healing itself. It's like getting over an illness. It will pass, like everything else.
