Good for you Cat. You definitely should get a new one! I love plants, but I just wish I knew more about them to keep them all happy. I think I may start spending some time learning a bit about gardening... always wanted to do it but never found the time. This is a good time to pick up a new hobby :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 11 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 165 Amount Saved: $53.63 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 19 Mins: 32 Seconds: 51

Great idea to buy a plant! I think I might do the same, tomorrow. Especially with the days getting shorter and shorter, a bit of green will do wonders... By the way- I have 9 plants in my appartment- and ever since I stopped smoking, they are growing new, small, spring green leaves- and one is budding!!!! I must ave poisoned them before- they are re-living now, too.... Good for you, and nice to see you! I still have a list of positive thoughts everyday about stuff I notice since I quit. Great idea to reward yourself too, a visual affirmation of what you have accomplished. :D Sue My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/3/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 188 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,880 Amount Saved: $329.00 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 22 Mins: 15 Seconds: 10

Sprquits! You are doing great! And you'll be pleased to know that it keeps on getting better and better! Celebrate every day and every week and every hour if need be, because this really is a great thing! You are beginning a whole new life! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 247 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,175 Amount Saved: $2,605.85 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 5 Mins: 48 Seconds: 56

So the days are getting better and better. The cravings are milder now, easier to control, especially with the wonderfully positive vibes which gooffy and the rest of our musquitters and octobreathers have been sending off. It's great to be able to share the difficult moments with you guys. But now I'm anxious about this weekend. I can't wait for it. First because I know that I will have practiced my talk at lab meeting on friday and will have gotten some advice on tweeking the last little details to make it a better talk. Second because it will mean that I will have made it through 15 days and that is half a month... what a victory that will feel like! I just can't wait :) I've been sitting at home all day working on my talk but also procrastinating quite a bit. I left to do some groceries and guess what... I had only a fleeting thought about how I would have been able to buy a pack at the store but didn't want to. It felt great. Then I thought about the $$ I have saved and will keep on saving and decided to treat myself. Instead of cigarettes I bought a cute little plant with some beautiful white flowers to put on my entrance table.
