Welcome JesseG,

You came to the right place. We are all in this together here.

Did you have trouble sleeping before you noticed your panic symptoms? Sometimes insomnia can lead to panic disorders and its the insomnia that needs to be treated mainly.

Have you talked to your doctor about other therapies? Counselling, meditation, exercise etc.

Start working your way through the program.  You will find information that can help you.  The session on relaxation will be especially beneficial to you.

Keep posting and stay strong, you will get through this.

Hi,
I'm 24 years old and have had anxiety for a few years now.  I was on medication, but after having terrible side effects I went off.  Since then, things are not getting any better.  My biggest problem is trouble sleeping.  I can go days without sleeping, or only getting a few hours.  It makes me feel depressed and sad and hopeless.  I withdraw from friends and can't live a normal life.  does anyone else experience this or have any tips?  I've tried all the sleep tips (getting up and doing something, no caffeine, etc.) and nothing seems to work.  My heart pounds all day long and I feel like I have energy in my veins despite being exhausted...
?
Thanks!
