Anxiety & Panic Attacks.

Oh btw, fatigue might be caused by depression. Exercise can help depression and so can meds (herbal or Rx). If you do an internet search for chronic fatigue and anti-depressants, you will see what I mean. Not saying that you might have chronic fatigue, but depression can manifest itself physically as fatigue. Plus anxiety also causes fatigue.

Oh, and sexual relief also helps with insmonia (this might be a touchy subject though--pun intended).

If you do find a doctor, some are reluctant to prescribe anything for sleep so just be ready for that. (I refer to U.S. doctors though.) Although most will be more than happy to give you anti-depressants, even free samples.

I have had very bad insomnia in the past and still have it though not as bad. Like others have stated, exercise is really good. Even though you are too tired! I normally can do about 100 push-ups (3 sets of 33), but some days I can only do 10. But then after I do the 10, I get sleepy. Walking and other exercise will build your endurance to do more exercise. Also best to do exercise in the daytime, as I think endorphins from the exercise will keep you up if you exercise too close to bed time.

I have tried sleep medications and save them only for extreme situations, since they leave me groggy for a few days. I take some Xanax at night--just a tiny amount, but even that leaves me groggy, and the sleep quality is not the same.

So, there are some herbal supplements that have helped me a lot, but I don't think I am allowed to post them, so IM me if you like. :) I can't post names of products I have bought that were effective right?

Members, can anyone offer advice to dreammessenger regarding seeking medical attention?

What have other members done?

Have you tried talking to a pharmacist or looking into other therapies?

Dreammessanger, even if you are tired it is important to try to exercise.  This will help you with sleeping. Even if it is even for a slow short walk.  Anything will help.

I have already checked and they are over burdened and are only taking people who are totally mentally incapacitated. I don't know where you live but many states & local govt are becoming strapped and having a budget nightmare.

dreammessenger,

Is there a clinic you can visit?  You cannot help what you don't know. Start keeping the journal of your thoughts, dreams, physical limitations, emotions etc.  You may be able to pinpoint areas that are upsetting or setting a panic attack in motion.  It is important to seek outside assistance as well, check your local hospital for clinics and walk in facilities.

I DON'T HAVE A DOCTOR! WHAT PART OF THAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!

dreammessenger,

Have you discussed these issues with your doctor? We suggest that you make an appointment with your family physician, who might then refer you to a specialist (if you haven't seen one already).
Please keep us posted on how you are doing, and hang in there

The thing is that I don't have the energy to exercise. I'm easily fatigued and that makes me feel worst. My leg & arm muscles will tremor and shake. They are often weak after exercising.
I'm awake now when I should be sleeping. I think I'm going to crack in half. I wonder what I'll do after that?

Great advice sweatbee!  Love it.

Dreammessanger, Its a good idea to keep exercising.  This will help to expell pent up energy and help you to relax at the end of the day.  Exercise can help a lot with your sleep pattern.

Also, many people as they get older realize they need less sleep then before.  Although most adults function best with 7-8 hours of sleep, some people only need 5-6, some 10-11.  Listen to your body.  If you are not tired do not force yourself to sleep. Let us know how you are doing and what is working or not working for you.

Yes tired during the day sometimes. I don't exercise but I used to a few months ago. That's when I stopped doing Wii Fitness.
