Welcome!

Congrats on getting started. It sounds like you have a lot to motivate you which is fantastic.

How do you plan on preparing for Feb 1st?

Hi Darla,
Welcome to the SSC. Children are a GREAT motivation aren't they?  Like Working on it said, be sure and complete the program at the top of the page.  It can help you on your quit. And be sure and read through the forums to learn all you can about what lies ahead.
I'd wish you good luck, but luck has nothing to do with a quit. It's all determination.  Stay strong and keep your guard up.

Hi writerdarla,

Congratulations on your decision to quit. I notice that you have worked though one of the steps in "My Program." Those steps are an excellent way to get mentally prepared. What other preparations are you making this month?

Keep us posted on your progress. Welcome aboard.

Hi! I'm writerdarla and I'm wanting to quit smoking by next month. I have set my quit date as Feb. 1, 2015 and my biggest motivation is my two children. I love them both and I want to be here for them for many more years to come.
