I'm impressed by the amount of Canadian ladies giving up smoking. If this keep up, there won't be anyone buying cigarettes there anymore. That's a nice thought.... You can do it! Trust me it will be the best decision you will ever make. It gets easier as time goes on, and I am sure that your daughter would be very proud of you and happy that you quit. Complete the workbook on this site, read, post and reward yourself often. Having gum, candies, carrot sticks, books and music help. One of the greatest books I have ever read is by Allen Carr. You should check it out. as others have said on this site, if you feel like smoking, come on here, post and then wait 5 minutes. By that time the craving will have passed and someone will have responded to give you that little bit of encouragement that you need. It will be a difficult road, but you can do it! Never doubt yourself. If you are strong enough to know that you want to quit, then you are strong enough to quit!!!! It's Day 10 for me and I can notice a major difference within myself and it has gotten easier over the last few days! Don't be afraid to be smoke-free, and congrats on your journey so far! Well today is my quit date I have not smoked yet but I am sitting at my desk thinking about a smoke. I have smoked since i was 14 so over 20 years i used to smoke mabey 10 a day untill the last 10 years when it went up to a pack I am really hopeing this works. I feel terrible all the time i have a terrible cough and even though i smoke outside at home i know it sticks to my clothes and hair which isn't good for my daughter she has asthma. i have tried before but i just have a feeling this time is going to work :)
