Many congratulations! I'm pulling up to ten years quit myself. It's not an easy road, but well worth it!!
Well done, goofy..... 10 years is absolutely awesome !

The road i travelled was full of pot holes & the hardest thing i ever done. I quit cold turkey & it felt like i lost the plot a couple of times at the start, but managed to hold it together thankfully.

My journey inspired my brother & mother who also stopped quite a few years ago, my brother has done really well from it...... Life is good.

The road i travel now is smooth as silk with lots of long gentle sweepers, There is also NO speed limit

All the best  !

Hey, hey........  just checking in.

I've lost count of the years but (not surprising), another year smokefree...

2016 ended with a BANG ! An Earthquake destroyed our work building & next day 130km/hr winds & Flooding. Similar thing happened 3 years ago to our previous work lodgings (Earthquake damage deemed the building unsafe) - Now working from temporary accommodation.

Life is full of surprises !

Enjoying the unexpected & cruising the countryside with my wife on our Harley & my brother (& his wife)

Life is good !

Well another year has passed.

The warmth & scent of the 2016 New Zealand Summer brings with it the annual tobacco price increase of 10%.

$28 for a pack of 20 cigarettes ($16 tax)
$48 for a pack of 30g roll your own tobacco

If that's one massive incentive to stop smoking i don't know what is.

All the best

The question remains.... how long does it take to quit or ..... do you ever truly stop wanting to feed the addiction ? Watch this space......

Hello beautiful Ashley.... my advice to those wishing to quit would be to expect (& look forward to) positive life changes & please reward yourself & most of all, be positive.

I quit cold turkey but believe no matter how you choose to stop smoking, if you want to stop smoking more than smoking itself you will

I bought a brand new Harley motorcycle about 10 years ago & never looked back. That Harley was my dream bike ! I've ridden motorcycles most my life so also decided (due to my new found confidence) to change my work commutes from trains / buses to riding my motorcycle to work & what a difference that made !

Without going into great detail, there i've endured many life changing experience just the past 5 years & i feel very calm & wise because of it.

Needless to say, my wife enjoys the non-smoking me & the new harley, especially summer holidays touring the country.
Kind regards

Have a great day !
