Create tools that prepare yourself for bad times . Like preparing for a hurricaine. Like if yourspose upsets you you go for a run or that s when you do the dishes , or have  a friend that you call who you know will rush to your side and kee p up the good work congrats

Hey Hamlet!

Congrats on making it through the experience unscathed!  It seems like it was a bit too close, though and if the opportunity HAD presented itself you might be contemplating starting all over now!  You have come a long ways and have had several struggles.  Wake up every morning and commit to NOPE!  That's how to remain quit!

Hamlet,
Glad to hear that store was closed and you didn't smoke. Very Lucky for you indeed. Somebody must be watching out for you up there..

Very lucky. Seems like it's just a matter of time. Seems you want to smoke more than you want to quit. That's sad.

Alternatively, you could use your near miss to your advantage. Your call.

Best wishes whatever you decide.

Hi Hamlet,

I'm so glad you did not smoke, but you might have done so.  Whew!  Have you thought of having coping strategies ready for the next time you have huge craves?

The problem is, the craves sneak up on you unexpectedly and that is why so many people succumb to them.  If you are one step ahead and prepared to take whatever action will help you, they will get less and less of a problem.

Glad you had a good non-smoking weekend!

Love Lolly.

Glad you made it too! Congrats.

What did you learn from this? If the shop wasn't closed what could you have done differently to have prevented the potential slip?

Hi guys was very tempted and had cravings a lot yesterday . Went to Bruce Springsteen concert in Belfast . Actually went to go to buy smokes but shop closed. Happy today that I did not smoke, really delighted that I did not smoke ??. Can't just put finger on why craves where very strong. Had thoughts of smoking when travelling to concert , even before had a few beers. Really happy that shop was closed , know would have been smoking today if open. Glad to have made it , concert was enjoyable no smoking great
