Day # 5
cravings are stronger than before and I feel like I'm in a strange place with all new and uncomfortable surroundings. Every time I visit this site it seems a lot easier and now I'm just waiting for my kids to get home so we can get busy on something. Coulnd't find anyone online to IS with and just wanted to speek, Thanks for listening.
Hi Miagi...it's a strange trip....but the first week is definately the hardest. I'm not that far along yet even in afew weeks, some days have been really good and other days the craving will come back strong and fierce (and i'm not always sure why).
You are doing great! Maybe you need some other "you" distractions for that time before the kids arrive (some people like walks, some like household chores, a book, a t.v. show, the gym, bubble bath - seems to vary)
Keep up the good work!
Windy

miagi -
This is the PERFECT time to get busy and build a very full toolbox of coping skills... Don't wait for anyone to keep you busy...as there will definitely be times when no one is there ...and you will have to depend on YOU, dear one...
Spend some time reading old posts and digging deep into what keeps and makes a strong Quit!
Blessings and Light-
Healer

miagi...
Congratulations on your 5 awesome days! You are well on your way now. I know what you mean about anxiously waiting for the kids to get home. In the early days it was hard to be alone. Kids are a great distraction. You are doing great. Post as often as you need to. There is usually someone around.
