This helps me when I start to crave

the fear of a stroke is the #1 reason I am quitting...I just am terrified of having to rely on others for day to day things. I also put the fear of an oxygen tank into my lover's head, so we are quitting together...

Tojo, Great minds think alike, I have also had thoughts on this subject. And I don't think it is vain, I live alone and there would be no one to comb my hair or put on make-up. And I don't want my daughters to feel like they would have to do this. I don't like thinking on these lines but you know life is not fair sometimes. So hold on tight to that quit..... Tojo, I like your honesty actually. It has been proven that the best way to approach younger people about not smoking is to discuss wrinkles and the effects on the skin. I think many of us don't go out without makeup and never thought of this point. Good point ! Tojo, that's not vain. That's realistic. Do what ever it takes, just stay quit. When I start to crave the nicodemon, I know this sounds very vain but I think if I have a stroke, who will put on my makeup and fix my hair. I never go out of the house unless I am "fixed up". I can't see my husband helping me although he would try. It helps me to think about lighting one up. When I am really wound up I come to the group and read, read, read. Hope this will help you.

I had a post-it on my bathroom mirror for months.....it said "to smoke now would be total insanity" I still believe that firmly Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1535 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 61,413 Amount Saved: $8442.5 Life Gained: Days: 200 Hrs: 6 Mins: 18 Seconds: 4
