Surviving Hell Week

13 years ago 0 19 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi Mamma D,

Huge congratulations on being smoke-free for 8 days! Way to go! Continue to work hard and stay strong. Take a close look at "When would I be tempted to slip?" in Milestone 4 of the program. This will provide you with a great insight into how to be prepared for challenging times and moments of temptation.

How was this activity useful to you? How will you incorporate these suggestions into your quit?

Members, how did milestone 4 help you with your quit?

MammaD glad you made it through "hell week" - You are kicking some ash- Yeah
My first quit, many years ago, I watched a video by Larry Hagman (sp) J.R. on the tv show Dallas - and he stressed that we are always "a puff away from a pack a day"  I've never forgotten and it is soooo true- we can't have just one or I can't.
Rest and nap as much as you need - your body is healing.  Your mood and irritability will improve as well as your breathing.  You're doing very well with 8 days -Wowwww.

My Quit Date: 7/21/2010
Smoke-Free Days: 13
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 195
Amount Saved: $48.75

8 Days now..Wowwwww.....Staying busy a nd staying quit.  My focus is totally on not one puff ever!!!.    Still grouchy and lots of mood swings.  I also feel extremely tired  and have been taking naps.  I tend to have several dreams with me smoking and only hope that will pass soon.  My breathing continues to improve.....Ya think   Thanks everyone
