It is so amazing to me how different everyone's reaction is to this addiction. See. for me, being busy and at work is the easiest way for me to avoid thinking about smoking. But that's because I'm a flight attendant and my "office" is the ultimate smoke-free zone. It's not like you can step outside for a few minutes between drink services. In fact, my last quit was rather ill-timed, since there was a four day period where I had nothing to do... so I smoked! Ugh. Can you just imagine if you had the chance to go back and slap that cigarette out of your younger self's hand? You did great. Hang in there. It is not easy, have some tricks up your sleeve. Having taken some time off to start your quit right tells me that you are serious and in control. Stay that way. It really does get easier and easier. I know right now it doesn't seem like it but it truly does. You are doing really good and seem really determined and that's what it takes. You have to want to stay quit more that you want to light up. N.O.P.E. (NOT ONE PUFF EVER). guy, Thanks for checking in and we are glad that you are still smoke free! Don't forget those coping mechanisms at work, they can help make the time go by faster and keep you occupied :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.
