I'm glad you have no cigarrettes left!
Just take one craving at a time, and you will be fine! Drink lots of ice water! Popsicles were as great help for me too!
If I can do it, you can do it. I'm sure of that!

Beckylynn:
Get rid of those smokes!!!  With the patch on the physical craves should be minimal so you are mainly fighting the habit.  Keep your self busy and change your routine this should help.

Trashing your stash is the best thing you can do.  Get rid of the ashtrays too. I did the same when it came to cleaning the walls and all.  Yes it sure does build up.  Just keep yourself busy and keep up the good work.  It will get better.

OK,  So far this morning,  after putting on the patch.  I lite up 3 cigs and then took a few puffs and put them out.
I confess I left one pack in my drawer for just in case.  Well after that last one that I almost smoked the whole thing I decided to trash my stash.  All cigs are in the trash and sitting at the curb for the trash guys.  Today is trash day so I won't be tempted to dig them out because in an hour or so them will be permanently gone.  I don't have one cig left in this house.
I decided to start washing walls and cleaning all the nicotine off my walls and furniture.  I can't beleive how bad it is.  I never realized how that stuff can build up.  And I thought I was a pretty good house cleaner.  Maybe I'll paint too.  Got to keep busy.

Beckylynn, carrot sticks, celery sticks, straws, pretzel sticks, pickles.  Do those work as substitutions for a cigarette?  Glad to hear the cravings aren't bad so far!  You can also read, read, and read some more here.  Keeping your fingers on a keyboard and mouse helped me in the early days of my quit.  Maybe rearrange the rooms in your house where you used to smoke?  Clean out your car so you don't smell smoke in it?  Come on over to my house if you need more projects!  I need to plant pansies in my window boxes so I have color for Easter!  Just take it one day at a time!  You're doing great!

This is day one for me.  Got up had my coffee and slapped on the patch.
So far not bad cravings. I just find myself reaching for that cig.  Habit!
I need to find something to put in my hand so that I'm not reaching all the time for something.
I have to confess I've only been up for an hour and a half.   Boy does time fly.  LOL!
