Around smokers this weekend

16 years ago 0 289 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0

You're right Reggie it does give you a sense of strength to take power over this instead of it taking power of you. Jim you are so right I showered and scrubbed my hair clean, did my laundry next morning. It's great not being a smoker, for many years I had felt so guilty about what I was doing to myself and those around me.

Way to go Lisa!!
You are a real non-smoker! It's wonderful being around smokers and not even thinking about lighting up, it gives us a nice sense of strength and determination, doesn't it!

Thank you Faryal and Belle, I'm very proud and happy with this because I love going to the post and had only been twice since I quit, I was afraid I might lose my quit if I went and hung out but I didn't and didn't even come close to losing it.

Congratulations Kylisa41 on staying strong and not giving in! That is definitely a success story given that you lost a quit in the same place years ago.

Good for you..............keep it up!

I went out this weekend to a VFW post that I use to go to every weekend, since it's a private club they do still allow smoking in it. I was there Sat. and Sun. night, even with drinking a few beers I never gave in to smoking in fact I never even had a crave.  I lost my 3 month quit there several years ago , I thought I could drink and smoke only when I drank, WRONG!!! lol  But this time I know that I'm much more prepared than I was back then and I have the support of you all. I also know that N.O.P.E is the answer to "how about just one cigarette".
