Lucy, You stay strong. So many here have kept there quit while living with a smoker or smokers. Those of you that do that are so strong. Keep up your quit and never give in. Lead by example and we can only hope the rest will follow us. Hello & Welcome Lucy, Maybe the voices should be moving over to the folks around you smoking and let them know it's bothering you and not supporting your quit! It's nor fair to you. Tell e'm to take it outside if they have not already, this will help you in a big way. Congratulations on 3 days - it's really tough - but you're doing it! Stay close to the SSC for support when you feel you may need it. Stay away from the smokers!!! Hi Lucy I live with a smoker, who will not take it outside. Yes it is tough but I want to be a non-smoker. You have to want to quit more than you want to smoke. Maybe someday he will see the light. on day 3 - Your doing great Stay strong, keep a positive attitude, post often and not one puff ever. Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Oh lucy the voices would drive me nuts, especially the one that said "you know you can't do this anyway so why are you bothering to go through this hell?" I nearly caved but didn't. You can make it through I have all the faith in the world in you. Look at them stats. Let me tell you if I can do it ANYONE can do it! Oh, boy! Do I remember the "voices in my head"! That's one of the few vivid recollections of my first week quit that I still have. Actually, I thought they were quite interesting. Some of them were downright funny. When I heard "Have one. It will make your quit so much easier." I just cracked up laughing. It was just so absurd and self-contradictory. I started a thread in this forum about your funniest junkie thought. If I can find it, I'll bump it up. Laugher is a good distraction. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 361 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,235 Amount Saved: $1371.8 Life Gained: Days: 67 Hrs: 10 Mins: 40 Seconds: 5

The worst part about not smoking is th voices I hear in the morning when I wake up and late at night to smoke. So far I'm on day three n and I have not smoked. I just wish the people I live with would not smoke. I guess I'll have to keep fighting those voices.
