Day 11

Yeah, my pants REALLY dont fit. I am sure I will work it out sooner or later! I went to a bar over the weekend with some friends, and since I don't drink anymore I usually smoke at bars for something to do. Well, not smoking was killing me, so I chewed on lollipop, ate some pierogies (why oh WHY dont my pants fit ? :)) and eventually took a deep breath and got a hold of myself, but it was a real test. 2 nights later, last night, I went bowling and it was so much easier! I had a soft pretzel and half an ice cream bar, but after an hour or so I wasn't thinking about the smoke at all (or fattening food lol). It was like a huge weight was lifted. Both times though, the next day my lungs hurt and my throat was scratchy from the second hand smoke. No WONDER non-smokers wanted me out of restaurants and bars! I think the smoking ban goes into effect in NJ in a few weeks, which is where we bowl (and go out sometimes too), so that should be easier. I'm still a little snappish but not too bad. Hope everyone else is hanging in there! Hey Meg, good for you on how you handled the bar situation. I'm not sure if I am even now able to go to a bar. Strong temptation to smoke! Congrats on your 10 days. Oh and by the by, you CAN snap, just DON'T smoke. lol.
