Hi Vincenza,

I started running with the purpose of lowering cholesterol levels. Since running 3 times a week for 30 minutes my cholesterol level is controlled. Later I found that this regular exercise also improved my mood which is great.

Benefits of Exercise.

Exercise helps prevent and improve a number of health concerns, including depression.  However, suffering from depression often makes it hard to find the motivation to exercise.
So how do you motivate yourself to lead an active lifestyle and achieve the numerous benefits that regular exercise offers?

One motivator is that exercise helps take your mind off worries.  It is an excellent way to distract yourself and break the negative thought cycle that can contribute to anxiety and depression.

Members, what other motivating factors can you suggest?
