religion and anxiety

i recently started having a lot of anxiety and some panic attacks. i am not really sure where they come from but one of my big triggers is i saw this movie the exorcism of emily rose, and it totally freaked me out. its abotu this girl being possessed by a demon, and while i dont think i believe in that stuff, the images from the movie stayed with me. so because i was sort of ruminating on this subject matter, i started to feel like maybe i was goign crazy. sigh. it is a vicious cycle :) in this movie the girl started to see everythign aroudn her as scarya nd she totally lost control of herself, i think this is why the images have continued to stay with me, because anxiety can sometiems taint our views of the world, and of course most peopel suffering from panic attacks fear aloss of control. did anyone see that movie? yikes! anyways, i have been tryign to reconnect with my spirituality and faith to help me get htorugh the anxiety stuff and that seems to have helped the anxiety as well as the irrational fears some. hopefully that will continue. thanks for lsitening to this... if anyone is lookign for some good books you shoudl check out anne lamott's traveling mercies. i read it when i am feelign anxious and her thougths and wisdom really calms me down. i hope everyone is havign a good night.
