tools of the panic program

Hi, For anyone who has not yet started the online program, here are some of the tools that you will be introduced to as you work through the 12 session program. Your Session Diary: When you sign-up for the Panic Program, all of your materials and exercises will be kept in your Session Diary. Your Session Diary will function as your personal home page. Your progress will be monitored and recorded in Your Session Diary. The Anxiety Test (WB-DAT): After you sign-up for the Panic Program, we'd like you to complete the Anxiety Test. The Anxiety Test is a survey that asks you a series of questions about panic symptoms and other problems that often go along with panic and anxiety. The test is based on questions that doctors often ask when their patients. Most of the questions have yes or no answers. When you finish the test you€™ll be given a Final Report. We encourage you to share your Final Report with your health care professional. Symptom Tracker: The Symptom Tracker is designed to track the severity of your depression and related symptoms. Research has shown that tracking your mood is an important part of an effective treatment for depression. Journals and Recording Forms: As you go thorough the Panic Program you will be given a number of forms that will monitor and track your panic symptoms and panic attacks. We call completing these forms "homework." We provide printer-friendly recording forms so you can use printed copies of your recording form when you're away from your computer. No matter how you decide to use the program, don't try to rush through it. Successfully completing the Panic Program will take time because learning new ways of dealing with anxiety, reducing avoidance, and learning to challenge anxious thoughts takes time. While some people experience immediate relief when they start a treatment program, don€™t expect a lot of change for the first few weeks. Give yourself at least 12 weeks to complete the program. See how things are going after a month. Chances are, if you follow the program, you€™ll notice some positive changes. Casey _____________________________ The PC Support Team
