Hi SherriAnn, Sorry to hear that you are once again battling this disorder and yes, there are many of us who have suffered setbacks.....many times. I had panic attacks for several years and then actually went a couple of years without one and just when I thought I had it beat.....wham......out of the blue.....here I am again. My thoughts I guess are that I beat this once, I can beat it again. I, too, suffer from insomnia....even when I do sleep, it's very restless and I was shaking so bad last week that it looked like I was having a seizure, so I understand that too! I actually got to a point that I was terrified to go to sleep because of what happens. Something that has worked (somewhat for me) is that I set up a small tv and VCR in my bedroom and play reruns of favorite shows.....usually something light like a comedy when I go to bed. I also have candles burning and incense to help relax me. I also do "self-talk" and tell those thoughts that they are extremely unwanted and that they bore me and they need to go away as I won't pay any attention to them....they waste my precious time. I have had 3 attacks in the last week so you can see that I, too, am only a work in progress but I wish you well with trying to get through this. Maybe talking with your doctor and asking for suggestions would be worthwhile as well. Good luck! kathy

Hi everyone, Unfortunately, I've started to head in a bad direction again. I was doing well for a few months and then I started to have anxiety filled days and now I wake up around 4:00 - 4:30 AM , feeling like my whole body trembling - though visibly you can't see it and I'm terrified, I usually go back to sleep but feel anxious again all day and do not look forward to bedtime. Anyone else experience this? or coped with major setbacks? I feel like I will never be "me" again.
