In my large city, it's not unusual to find road rage. I witnessed the opposite from a jovial pedestrian, when a car nearly struck him. This tall athletic man actually joked to the driver, and laughed WITH him/her! I wish I could keep this in my memory so I could do this all the time, since I was astounded by the pedestrian's different way of engaging the driver. In some way, this was just what people used to refer as politeness, which appears to have disappeared from pockets of society.
