Hey Angel. I can't seem to get CBT Buddies to work on my computer. Its too bad we don't have a chat program that we can use. I understand the fear that it might end up being used for non-anxiety related chatting, but I think that anyone who is really suffering from anxiety wouldn't do that. I mean, I love this forum because it offers me a chance to vent and get advice from people just like me and I would never take advantage of that for other purposes. I have yahoo messenger, but I guess we're not allowed to give out that kind of info on the forum.

Thanks Josie. I never actually thought about posting in the Success Stories. I guess I just thought of this as a small victory and not a huge one like a lot of the stories I read there. But I guess now that I think about it, it is kind of a success story. By the way today is Day 6 of no anxiety. I'm really enjoying this and I think I just might keep it around for awhile longer. Angel, you are such a sweet person. You always give me such a boost when you reply to my posts. Thank you so much. I wish only the best for you and hope that some of the happiness I've felt over the past few days rubs off on you. It really is a wonderful feeling. I wish we really were neighbours because it would be nice to have an actual real life friend who knows exactly what living with anxiety is like. But I will take the online version of the friendship anyday! Keep in touch!

I'm sooooooooooo happy for you!!! U really caught my attention when you said something like 'why not hold on to the good times/feelings and keep them around longer." Its so true. We should work on doing that because we always hold on to the bad feelings of anxiety. Thanks for that eye opener! also, you said that you won't ever think u will be totally free of anxiety. I think you are wrong here. I beleive that you and everyone here can be 100% free from this!!! We just need to work on ourselves and self-belief! I truly beleive that you have the power to do it. We are just taking things step by step and one day we will reach the light. I promise !!!!!! so i'm veryyy happy for you girl! I wish you many more of these wonderful days to come. And make sure you hang on to the good things too! muahhhhh byeee! ;)

Hello Everyone. I haven't posted in a few days but I just wanted to touch base and let everyone know that I have actually had 5 mostly anxiety free days in a row. It has been the best feeling, something I haven't felt in awhile. I have had some anxious moments when the feelings and thoughts crept back in for a second but I worked on my positive self-talk and it has actually worked. I am by no means "over" my anxiety. That's something that I don't think will every completely happen, but at least for the last few days I felt in control instead of the other way around. I just wanted to let people know that holding onto the anxious feelings and making them go on for days can easily be turned around. Why not hold onto the good feelings and keep them around longer? I know its easier to hold onto the bad stuff, but sometimes, it just feels so good to look your anxiety in the eye (well you know what I mean...lol) and tell it where to go. I hope this lasts for awhile longer, but if not, I will definitely treasure these wonderful last 5 days!!! Yay Me!
