Reducing Symptoms

19 years ago 0 34 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I guess it varies person to person, but I find taking a walk really helps me reduce my anxiety at that moment. Talking with friends, playing a game (even solitaire), cleaning up, drinking a glass a water (helps me regulate my breathing - sounds weird, I know) seem to help, too. This website and this forum helps a great deal, too. Looking towards positive things to come also helps a lot. Some things that I find aggrevate my anxiety symptoms: watching tv, reading, pretty much anything that allows me to dwell on my symptoms. Hope this helps. Let me know if you share similar experiences with the above! Brad

Hi Brayablue, Fellow members will be responding soon, but you may want to consider utilizing the program offered on the site to assist with this. Some general relaxation techniques include deep breathing exercises, a hot bath, some soothing music or a warm beverage. Tomorrow do sign up for the Panic Diary where you can record your daily level of anxiety if you haven't already done so. The Panic Program can help you understand more and may help you go about challenging your thoughts. Casey _________________________________ The Panic Center Support Team
