Hi Jo, Panic and anxiety can definitely cause some very real and uncomfortable symptoms. Researchers are still working to discover what exactly causes of panic disorder. Most likely these causes are very complex. However, current research leads us to believe that there are many contributing factors including heredity/genetics, brain and other biochemical functioning, stressful life events, and cognitive factors that can contribute to someone having panic disorder. If you haven't already done so, please be sure to take the time to complete our online program here. You may find it very informative and it can help you gain insight into your feelings of panic and anxiety. Casey _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hi Casey, thanks for reply, years ago when I used I started to get panic attacks they used to start suddenly then I was fine like it never happened but the past year I have been full of feelings all day long, I always feel like I am moving and am on edge for the feelings all the time, feel like I lost myself somewhere along the way, when I good I am really good and confident, lately I have this constant tingly and numbness in my back which I think is from muscle tension but never had it before and had it for month now, I also get this strange feeling like I canno tuse my hand (left) the two last fingers almost feel like they are hanging of, numb and shakey but obviously not anoy of this, why do we get such strange things happen to our bodies is this normal, I am a very nervous person now, had a health scare with my mum health which really started it bad for me at christmas, and have constant ongoing probs with the in-laws which really upset me.

Josie I get like that also. they just start semingly for no reason. The meds seem to hold them to a very min and am able to breath through them. It seems to start in my stomach something like a tighening feeling then progress from there.
