Jessica, With matters of the heart ( sorry about the pun), it is always a good idea to have yourself checked out and rule out any medical conditions. After you have done this try the Panic Test. You may take the results to your doctor, this may be able to better assess the situation. Hope this helps, Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

I feel the same things!! I think it is just the anxiety and we the tend to focus on any physical symptoms...there have been many times where I tell my husband that my heart is hurting and think I am having a heart attack...you are fine...hang in there... Keep us posted. Take care Jessica, B

Oh yes! I have felt this many many times! One thing I've learned is that you need to stop paying so much attention to your heart. I know - it's hard! I still catch myself checking my heart rate and have to force myself to stop. I used to be really bad at this but I told myself I was going to not check it for a week and prove to myself that nothing would happen. And, sure enough, I was right. In fact, checking it less, actually made it stop feeling funky. I think it's because the more we pay attention to a symptom, the worse it gets. Try to prove to yourself that it's ok by not monitoring it all the time. You will be ok! I also get the shortness of breath, but again, it gets worse the more I pay attention to it. You are stronger than you feel - I promise! Hang in there!!
