I get like that a lot actually. It's like you can't stop thinking about something no matter how hard you try and it just gets into this vicious cycle and goes around and around and around. Try to preoccupy yourself. Read a book or magazine. Sometimes when I get like this, I found that playing one of my sons video games helps get my mind off it. Coming to this website and just knowing that I'm not alone also helps. Writing it out always helps me, too. Which is why I mentioned writing in the Panic Diary. Don't worry if it doesn't save the info. It basically saves the levels of anxiety so you can see your progress, which also gives you hope on those days that are extra bad and you're feeling like it will never get any better, you can see that there were in fact some days that were pretty good. I haven't figured out how to get into the text itself, just the levels of the day. I'm not sure if it's even possible to get into the text after you save it actually. But, don't worry about that. The most important thing is to get it all out by typing all your feelings and anxious thoughts out (or writing it out on paper). I don't know why, but it helps get it out of your head.

Thanks Vickers. I did fill out the diary form but I don't think it saved my results. I am having a little trouble with it. I am trying to slow my thoughts down. I just feel so hypersensative right now. Do you ever get like that. I can't calm down. It really stinks.

Hey Shell! I'm sorry you're not feeling good this morning! Remember that this is just anxiety and it will be ok! I know that's hard to believe because right now your mind is racing a million miles an hour, but it will go away and it will be ok! Try to take a few deep breaths through your diaphragm (spelling?). Breath in really slow through your nose to the count of 5 then really slow out your nose to the count of 7. Do this a few times, it does help. Keep telling yourself, this is just anxiety and I can handle it, I'm not going to die, I've been through this before and made it, I will make it through this time as well. If you can lay down while you do this, that would also help, but if you're at work or something and can't, that's ok. Try to slow your thoughts. You said the other day that you just started the program. Grab one of the Panic Forms and get it all out on paper or write it out on the Panic Diary - it really does help! You are stronger than you think - I promise! You can do this! You are not alone!

Today is not a good day for me. I am really panicking today. I am not sure if it is the lexapro I started taking or what. I really need some reassurance that everything is going to be all right. Thanks
