I know exactly how you feel! My panic always begins with a racing heart. I am always aware of my heart rate and it makes me insane!! Yesterday for instance, I was having a pretty good day as far as anxiety goes and after lunch, I noticed my heart was beating pretty fast. I took my pulse and it was 100 and I just freaked! I keep telling myself that I should proud of myself because even though I was seriously freaking out, I made myself stay at work, I made myself go to the bank and stand in line for what seemed like forever, I made myself make dinner for my family and I stayed with them and ate and watched tv. I did lay down for awhile in my bedroom to try and calm down after I got home, but it is still with me today! I woke up feeling anxious like I do most mornings and right now my heart rate is probably in the 90s. Who needs coffee when you have anxiety?! (I miss coffee) I hate feeling like this!!!

I want to give a thumbs up on the MVP. It is very common and in most cases non dangerous. As for the heart racing. I can relate to that and even if you do not feel anxious, you are focusing on it so therefore your mind is doing all the work for you. You dont need to worry fear because your mind is working overtime on it! Say "Stop it!" and tell yourself things are fine. Nothing is wrong and its all okay. I know it is hard to receive but I have to truly convince myself of it daily over and over again.

I don't think there is anything wrong with my heart, I don't have any problems apart from it racing now and again. I'm probably anxious about something!! I think I focus on my heart because my Dad hd 3 or 4 heart attacks in his 30's and I didn't think I was but I think really I'm very worried by it.

have you been checked for mitral valve prolapse? i just found out i have it, and heart palps is very common with it. for some reason mvp causes panic.

I know we all have the feeling of our hearts racing with panic, but i thik something is wrong with mine. I can feel it beating really hard inside my chest and i feel like its racing anf I'm just sat still. I don't feel panicky or anxious, well I do now, but I didn't!! Does anyone else have this or might I have a heart problem
