Ears pop

20 years ago 0 91 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
thanks for the advice, I HATE going to the doc, it scares me! lol A nurse told me that ear drainage problems that cause ear popping are usually caused by sinus polyps or tumors. Course, I had a anxiety attack when she told me this and my jaws tightened and my ears started popping. Sometimes I cant help but laugh at my craziness but it's really not funny. I will go to the doc when I get the nerve. I did talk to a massage therapist who did tell me that alot of TMJ people have ear problems. I think it's from tension too. Oh well, I could guess forever.! Thanks all!

Hi Devon, I don't have TMJ but i do get the ear popping thingy.. It used to make my panic worse, thinking i had an inner ear infection but i had my ears checked and i turned out fine... I think you'll find that alot of panic sufferers do experience ear problems... is it related? i don't know but i do know that it's quite commonn.. AND, you have TMJ so i'm sure the two go hand in hand.. See a doc just to make sure that your ears are healthy, just to be on the safe side.. Love, Cali ;)Text

Devon, You are currently concentrating on your panic and how it effects you. It could be quite possible that you have may have an infection or even a small cold. By concentrating on something else, your "pops" are put aside. Your panic and anxiety could also be causing your "pops". Perhaps an Ears, Nose, and Throat (ENT)specialist would be of assistance. Please keep us posted and hang in there, Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center SUpport Team.

what do you mean by "mask"?

Devon, Check with your doctor. If it has been going on for a while, then your body might be trying to mask something. Tell the doctor all your symptoms and feelings. Try taking the Panic Test and give a copy to your doctor. This may better help assess the situation. Josie ______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.
