Yes, I've seen both of the funny ones, and thought What about Bob, was a scream....

:)"Analyze This" and "What About Bob" are a couple of my all time favourites! I think mainly because they're comedies and I can have a darned good laugh at the characters who have very similar symptoms to me! They're well worth watching. If you can see the funny side to something serious, I reckon that can only be a bonus!! Another film I watched many moons ago - much more serious and psychological, is "Ordinary People" - even now I cry at that one!! For anyone who hasn't watched it, it's quite a slow moving film, directed by Robert Redford, and shows how a tragedy affects all members of one family - it's well worth a view - but possibly not if you're feeling a little depressed already!! Take care all, Wendy xx

A very good light hearted one is "What about Bob?" with Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss, Bob (Murray) is agoraphobic with pa's, Dreyfuss (his pysch) is his new doctor, but leaves town for a month on vacation with his family. Bob freaks when he learns that he will be gone, all the What ifs, during that time, he needs to be with able to get in touch with his doctor and not the one on standby, he goes to extremes to reach him and winds up on his doorstep. In his first visit to Dreyfuss as a patient, is classic as Bill Murray's character is phobic of elevators and learns that Dreyfuss office is on the 20th floor or something like that, which he questions in his mind, how the heck a doctor that treats this disorder cant get an office on the first floor! Then you see him climbing stair after stair, gets into the waiting room, he is short of breath, in a sweat, and checking his pulse, he is in an attack just trying to get to his office. I highly recommend this movie!! Trish

WOW! Thanks folks. I'll have to see these. I haven't yet but now I am curious. Are they all New Releases? I've heard of Matchstick Men but not the other two. Thanks, Danielle

Ya you are so right! When I watched The Shrink is in, with Courteney Cox, it really helped! It showed many other people have this disorder! ;) ~*~*~Blondie~*~*~

When I watch certian movies about Anxiety/Panic Disorder. They make me feel a little better. Do other people do that...2 of my Favs that help me are Analyze this and matchstick Men. for some reason it makes me feel better about what I'm going through. It also helps when I try and explain my disorder to friends and family. -Jay
