Attack Frequency

Dear Steve, Panic attacks may change in duration and times they occur. I would recommend letting your doctor know what is going on. Take the anxiety test on the left of your screen and bring your doc the results. Keep posting, there are many people here who understand what you are going through. Susanne

Hi Steve, I have been having panic attacks for nearly 3 years now. I used to have numerous full blown attacks every day. Now I dont have the full blown ones as often, maybe 2 or 3 times a week. They could last for up to an hour and sometimes 1 would roll into another 1. I am just on edge 24 hours a day now, constantly scanning my body for the symptoms etc and holding tension everywhere. Hope this has been of some help to you. If you need any more info, just let me know. Take care

Up until one month ago I only had two panic attacks in the last 3 years. Now I've been having them several times a day for the last month. Sometimes they last for as long as 30 minutes. Is this normal for panic disorder? Also, I never feel my heart racing, I just sweat, feel very afraid of dying, and experience intermittent chest pain. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Steve
