Bob first of all you are not alone at all your not the only one who feels this way myself I feel like I am dyeing all the time I guess thats my phobia but its real good that u found someone who can support you and help u through this it takes time for your treatment to start to work. see what u have done is made your home your secruity place u don't want to leave cause thats the only place u feel safe I myself enjoy staying home and if i could I would stay here all the time I have to force myself to leave I thionk what u should try is just taking it one step at a time like go for a minute or so walk or walk across the street and back and eventually make the time longer that your out and keep making it longer and so on and eventually u won't be afraid to go out anymore and avoiding the doctors is probably not the best thing to do when your feeling this way cause doctors can help you and will theres so much info about all of this around research what your feeling online u will find success stories ways they over come the exact same thing your going through I did and it helped me tremandously. I hope this helps sorry about all the reading but I understand were your coming from
