Way to go. I would love to quit smoking, but I seriously feel that it is the only thing that gets me through my stress, plus 95% of the people that I work with smoke. Anyway good luck to you.

Hi Sean, Funny, but when I am really anxious, I cannot smoke at all. It takes more breath away and as we all know, breathing during anxiety is hard enough as it is! I dont know if I can quit all together like you have (good job! :)) but I have really cut down as it no longer is worth it- I need all the good air that I can get!! Beth

Just to let everybody know, I quit smoking cigarrettes and marijuana for over two months now and my anxiety has lessened substantially. I have not had a panic attack since my very early days of quitting smoking cigarrettes completely and can usually stop the worrying thoughts from becoming anything more than that. That is not to say the anxiety was not bad during the last two months, but it is far less intense and in duration today. My neck and shoulders are still a little sore some times, but even that is going away. I actually started lifting weights again for the first time in four months. For a while there, I thought I was never going to do that again. Perhaps for me, the anxiety and panic were all related to smoking cigarrettes and marijuana. Although I probably should knock on wood or something, I just wanted everybody to know my story. I smoked for 16 years or so and was up to almost a pack and a half a day. With the marijuana I would usually smoke it when I got home from work until I went to bed and on the weekends. Any way, good luck to all. I will report back in a few months and let every body know how I am doing.
