Switching from Effexor XR to Paxil CR

That€™s interesting because on the first two weeks of Effexor XR I lost 10 pounds, lol. But I noticed I gained a little with Paxil CR.

Just switched from Effexor XR to Paxil CR a week ago. Effexor worked great, but very unhappy with the weight gain (after 1 month I gained approx. 10 lbs). Tried dieting, but the weight would not budge. I was under the impression that Paxil was one of the most weight producing SSRIs out there. Doctor assured me that Paxil CR is processed differently in the digestive tract than other SSRIs and weight gain should not be a problem. Would appreciate any comments or experiences. Seems that the only meds that work for me (zoloft 20 lbs, effexor 10 lbs)added excess weight.TextText
