repeating a chore

Well let's look at competence. I don't know what the task is, but if it's something you're doing for your employment and your motivation is a jood job performance and evaluation while improving productivity as well as your chances of promotion, then practice makes perfect. If on the other hand, it's a menial task with no important consequences if it's not done "just so", like mowing the lawn in a certain pattern, then there's such a thing as a satisfactory or good job and there's such a thing as excessive fussing. If your behavior is excessive for the particular task, then I would urge you to talk to your doc about this. Can this be stopped? I believe so, but I'm not the expert on it.

Have you read up on obsessive compulsive behavior and talked this over with your doctor? This sometimes coexists with depression.

does anyone here experiences something like doin a chore and repeating it over and over again until it ends up the way you want it to be. i am getting to be a little scared cause i feel like im goin to loose my mind. i think i am becoming to be a perfectionist and i know this aint right. i hope you guys could ease my mind, hope you get what im trying to say...am i the only one here with this kind of problem?
