I saw my therapist yesterday and he said the same thing. Just to give it some time. BTW I felt good yesterday, and I am feeling tired today. So I guess it will even out eventually. Michelle

Hi Michelle, I think I'm in a similar situation to yours, todays my 8th day on medication. I am also feeling alert and awake but also feel very hyperactive and restless, I can't seem to be able to be still and calm. I feel heaps better than what I was feeling like before the medication but I'm not use to it yet so I've been frantically cleaning and doing things I wouldn't normally be bothered doing. I saw my psychiatrist yesterday and he said that it will take a few weeks for my body to get use to it as it is taking something new onboard and I am very sensitive to changes within my own body so give it time to have full effects. He seems to think that my body will get use to it?!? What medication have you started taking? I am taking Effexor-XR 75mg. Angela :)

I'm sure some people have seen quick results and I have to before but I've been told to that giving the medication a full month to really kick in is very common as well. Jerry Thank you Jerry for your reply. I will give it some more time. Michelle

Michelle, it really depends on how severe your issues are and of course the medication you are taking and such. I'm not a doctor but from my experience medications usually take some time to really do start doing their full effects. I'm sure some people have seen quick results and I have to before but I've been told to that giving the medication a full month to really kick in is very common as well.

I just finished my first week of meds. I am feeling awake and alert today. I also feel on little on edge, and was wondering if this edgy feeling will go away? Or is this as good as it gets? Michelle
