Hi all:  These are Charlie's roses.  He is buried in the rose garden along with Daisy, 6 months before him.  Charlie and Daisy were my two dogs before the one I have now.  Daisy was 18 yrs. old.  I am not sad anymore about them.  I had  planted a rose bush for each one and it has been a true joy to see them bloom every year, so now it makes me happy.  Time does heal most of the sorrow and leaves us with the good, happy memories.  Gardening is relaxing for me and I love to see the bushes bloom, almost like a greeting from my friends.

Yesterday I did more gardening and got a sunburn on my nose.  This doesn't sound like much, but when you've had mostly cold weather and rain, it was an awesome day!  Also, always happy to see all the perennials survived the winter.  My buddies are back.

p.s. Sid, I like Sherlock Holmes too.  I have his complete stories/works in book form too.

Mine today are watching the ducks and geese in the pond.
A nice salmon supper.
A cup of tea and a DVD, since I'm tired.

To justify these rest periods. I worked in the green houses, Drove the tractor a bit and followed the rototiller around the garden. I have to go out one more time to water and my work is done for today.  All and all a very glorious day.
