My friends for the most part are aware that I have an anxiety order and they are still my friends. Only one person has told me to get with the program and she was a girl friend and we had other problems. People will either accept you or they won't. Keep in mind that one in four people has some form of mental disorder so a lot of your friends may have anxiety also and just not willing to admit it. Yes I have good friends that I can confide in and a few do not have any anxiety at all. Good friends are good friends because they are, nothing else should dictate if they are.

hey davit..i agree wid ya...even i don want a place wer sum1else dominate in coversation etc...but davit u guys dint answer me abt common behaviour of pplz wid panic disorder or agrophobia or sociaphobia wid der frndz....do dey hav gud frndz?how der frndz rate dem?..plz reply..n plz reaply for ma post relating ma academics..jus luk onto it..ok?

Do you mean a group, like your peers. Not really, I'm a bit reclusive. But I fit in with a number of coffee groups. I fit in quite well most places. This is self esteem and it certainly helps with learning skills. Confidence and respect are important to how we see ourselves.

On the subject of friends. There are a number of things that influence making and keeping friends. The most important one is sharing. Things that I find that chase me away are people that are too critical,who dominate the conversation and brag. There is no place for me to fit in there so why would I want to be there.

hey guys....ma academic performances hav been retarded...i mean i hav bcom lil weak.... im trying hard but not reaching wer i want.......i think definitely der sum connection btw ma anxities n studies...if i can solve ma anxiety prblms i think can do well in ma studies toooo n datz the reason i tuk medicines...i take fluoxetine hcl 2 capsules a day...n lonazep 2 capsules...

so wat u guys think abt ma anxiety prblm reflecting on ma studies?...wat abt ma medication?

Hi Ranis: You asked a question for Davit re: a gang. Well, I'm not in a gang but I do belong to an organization where we meet every couple of wks. and we do a lot of volunteer work and fundraising for the community - even send money overseas to help. This has helped me make friends and earn respect and a true community feeling. I know that these people, although not necessarily exactly like me, do have the same common goals, i.e. to help where we can and this brings us together. Now when I walk downtown I get lots of hellos and how are you, and this makes me feel accepted.

hi everyone...

firstup all im thankfull dis site and da ppl working for dis cause...informations frm dis site had given me confidence 2 seee a doctor n take medications....i tried 2 keep dis as a secret..i kno abt dis panicdisorder long b4..but i was scared 2 inform ma parents of frndz...but reading articles frm dis site helped me...so i told ma mom n family n im taking treatment...i feeel better...

now thankyew davit,tiana n sunny....actually im a student doing btech in mechanical engineering....u guys ask me 2 seek help frm support group in our community 2 find frndz....i kno davit...u said it ryt...we hav lots of frndz such as chating....frm our community..skoool..colllage..working place...but davit do u hav a gang?...i mean a frndz gang?.......i think itz very hard 4 us 2 create big impact on others...due 2 our inappropriate behaviours our frndz r not much interested on us....dos pplz with disorder doesnt seem 2 b very intersting...am i ryt?..wat u guys think?

Hi Ranis: Do you have a hobby? a special interest in something? Perhaps you could meet up with people who are also interested in these. Any clubs you can join? How about volunteering around your community. It's a great way to meet people and help the community at the same time.

I have friends, some have panic disorder, some have never had panic in their life. Some are Bipolar. Some are internet friends and some I only talk to on the phone. Some live in my community and some I only see once a year. But they are all friends and of course I have friends on this site. Depends I guess what you need for friends. Oh and these are friends, I also have a lot of acquaintances. I have friends that take care of my animals and house when I have to go to the hospital. Why do you think you can't have friends?
