What is your job??

I am also a student. Hopefully I will soon be finishing off my Master's degree in medical science. My masters is by dissertation and research. My research is in the field of molecular toxicology. I also lecture molecular biology on a part-time basis but this often feels rather full-time. I plan on doing my PhD next year if I can just get my damn research to go my way (says I the objective observer!).

Hello MsRN,

I just wanted to echo the others and say it is never too late for your dreams! Hang in there and hold them tight to you and eventually they will happen!

I too just wanted to agree with Miki and CD.  The timing just isn't right.. you'll still get there.  Sometimes life veers off road for a bit but you'll get back on track soon enough...  Don't ever give up on your dreams!

I work/run a Christian sunglass company called Disciple Shades.  I really enjoy working there and have learned a lot about business (I feel fortunate since I am so young).  The best part about it is I go into the office when I want, and leave when I want.  I honestly counldn't do any other job outside of my home besides this, so I am extremely thankful for it. I have been working there 3 years now, and my anxiety went down hill a year ago.  So it helped a lot that I was there before my anxiety worsened. Job wise...I do everything from customer service, to pulling and shipping orders, to designing the sunglasses (as my biggest passion is photography, so I am very good with photoshop) and anything else thats envolved in running a company.  I do get stressed a lot, which doesn't help my anxiety, but I still enjoy going into work.

I loved to read about everyones job!! Please everyone keep posting, this is a very interesting topic.

I am a Registered Nurse. I have been nursing for 4 years! I work in Dialysis and Medsurg/telemetry. I had just started travel nursing when my anxiety/panic kicked in.........now my life is on hold. I was going to keep traveling nonstop for a year and save money to go back to school to become a nurse anesthesist! Oh well, so much for those dreams!

I work in retail now, I used to work in offices in Toronto, but since I moved to the states i'm good in retail, and good at selling.  I worked in the stores selling movies/ games and music, but now for my new start i'm going to be working in a clothing store, twice a week.

Hmm I guess one could say my job is student lol.

Well I study full time. I finished one degree (Bachelors in psychology) and am starting classes on a second degree (masters in counselling) this Friday! So full time student is my main occupation. I also beleive it will be my occupation for a while since I intend to do a full time doctorates in psychology after my masters.

I am also a part-time research assistant. As a research assistant I help with maintaining data bases, collecting and analyzing data, writting, hmm what else, ooh researching in databases on various subjects...Well I basically do whatever my boss needs me to do to help her research project along. My boss is great and super understanding and very gemerous. So can't say I have much to complain about.

Must say my anxiety stems from me wanting to do well and feeling like I am always out of time lol. I just want to please my boss and get good grades and I work so hard and feel stressed out lol. I need to learn to cut myself some slack lol.

But really I like studying and I have a good part-time job.

Wow writting in this thread helped me partially get over my anxiety over going back to school this Friday lol. Thanks!

Btw, love this thread! I love reading all the wonderful things you all do!

I'm an x-ray technologist, I don't like working evenings or doing the on-call shifts overnight... this causes me anxiety. I'm thinking of going back to school to do ultrasound, no evenings, less call and way less trauma.....I hate not knowing whats coming next.. My husband  and I also frequently discuss becoming farmers, grow vegetables and have a few animals, that would  be way less stress. At this time I am off on maternity leave, I am dreading going back to work which causes most of my anxiety.
