I had a minor panic attack...

Hiya DM!

I have had that too! It freaked me out! For a while there, any time I felt panicky I felt like I could not swallow, like my tongue was working against me! I wish I had something helpful to say about it. All I can say is it happened to me too. When it did I forced myself to challenge my thoughts and just breathe slowly and challenge my thoughts and as I calmed down I would realize that my tongue was fine now and all would be well. I didn'T even think of obsessing about it lol I just chaleked it up to another wierd panic attack symptom! Lol. Anyway, wish I had more useful tips but I do hope knowing you are not alone in this helps you. Because, yeah, it is freaky feeling!

Hi guys...

Last night out of the blue I started to feel panicky... it's been a really long time.

The symptom though that troubled me was all of a sudden I felt as though I couldn't swallow...like my tongue didn't work or something.. and that just freaked me out and although it was only a few moments when I couldn't seem to swallow it felt like an eternity...

Have any of you every experienced this and if so how do you work through that awful feeling?

Of course my mind started to race like I having a stroke or some other major catastrophe.  I was able to work through it and enjoy the rest of my night BUT I have not stopped obsessing about it ... waiting for it to happen again.  Went on to have a restless sleep and have thought about it a lot this morning... Darn obsessive thinking... lol...

Anywho.. it's a beautiful sunny day here and we're off on a family adventure so I know it will be good but any tips would be appreciated or at least knowing it's happened to someone else...

Thanks for listening.
DM
