Hi

I think belly dancing would be so much fun.  They offer it at our community centre but I'm a bit chicken to go by myself.. lol.  My hubby and I are going to do Couples Yoga... it should be hilarious as my hubby is really a mans man.. and this is so out of his box.. but it should be awesome for us... I'll let you know.. I'm sure we'll laugh more than relax...  Or I will anyways...

I'm just happy to be doing something with a spiritual connection with him...

Hi everyone:) Cd, you should get it out, make some fun stuff, its relaxing.  DM I hope to go to the library, probably monday.  My neighbour is taking her baby to a reading thing, so i'll catch a ride with them and get the bus home.  My book on CD has arrived, got one for hubby.
Jewelry making seems lots of fun, my mom does that and she says its relaxing. Diva, would love to take up belly dancing, thats supposed to be wonderful fun, and good exercise:)
Miki, you're musical, thats wonderful,  I tried the guitar once..since then i've left it to the professionals:) I'm going to start a new patchwork quilt I have the fabric and I have to come up with the pattern.  I want to make my sister another quilt.  She is going thru a very hard time right now, as her hubby who she knw for 8 years and married for 10, decided he no longer wants to be with her, and she is down.  So i'm going to make her something special.   Thanks Bre for the compliment:)

Hi

Sewing is something I would love to do too... I've made a few costumes for my kids but handstitched them all..lol.. a long process.  I've contemplated taking a sewing class a few times...maybe I will this fall.  You're inspiring me.

I did recently buy a wire jewelry making kit...My hubby is a glassblower and makes amazing glass beads.  I've wanted to design some jewelry (for myself)  for awhile but never did... Now that the kit is here I'm excited.  I'll post a pic of my first accomplishment soon..  It would just irk my hubby that I would by stuff to wear  when I could easily (with his help of course) make things to wear at home.  Sometimes shopping is just easier (and instant gratification)...

I also joined a book club and have been ordering books...and am loving adding to my own "library" and reading things from all genres.

Have a great night.

Thanks for this post Minnie , gave me some food for thought . About a zillion years ago at school i used to love sewing . Mind you cheated and always choose the easy stuff lol you know a wrap around skirt instead of one with a zip !
Even worked as a machinest in a car factory for two years sewing rear car seats together . Now i know that has nowt to do with the beautiful things you make but i loved that job , really enjoyed sewing .
My mum brought me a sewing machine a few years ago for a christmas pressie and its been stuck in my attick unopened ever since .
You know i might just have to fetch it out and get some tips

Hi, I know sewing is difficult, but if  I can sew anyone can.  I did some school projects, once about a million years ago, and I was the most awful in the class.  When I met my hubby, my mom in law gave me one of her machines, and showed me how to make cushions.  Now everyone I know has a cushion.  Then it was aprons, now everyone has aprons.  It is very relaxing and rewarding, and you dont have to know a lot of big stuff.  I find once I get working on a project, I feel a lot better about things.  I recently started doing some basic quilting.  The one in the picture is one i'm working on, but the patchwork is finished.  It was a bit tricky, but when you are working on it, you dont think of anxiety or worry, you just have to really think of the project or it flops, and if you keep working on it, its very relaxing..thats just my 2 cents worth:)
