Atm I'm not doing so well   Over the past few days because of this sore throat and pressure in my sinus cavity I haven't been able to eat much at all.  I did some good a few mins ago though and had a few pieces of tortellini but am feeling a bit of a panic attack coming on right now.  Just have to keep telling myself I'm not gonna choke and all that even when I start to get the gluey feeling in the back of my throat.  Started coughing up a storm too, I hate that.

It's nice to hear that you have been doing well though, really builds confidence!  Keep on the right track, you can do it

Hi CD

I think this is a definate success story ... and not just one success but many.  Look at all the things that you did... now whether or not you were running away.. (or just getting away which is perfectly acceptable) you had to face a bunch of challenges along the way and you did.. Way to go girl!!

As for your hubby.. I can't even imagine what that would be like but can only think he's lucky to have you.. You have got to be one of the most supportive people on here so I'm sure you're like that to all involved in your life...You've got your hands full with kiddies, yourself, daily life and a hubby with depression.. You are a trooper and the support you are still able to dole out to all of us is commendable.. I appreciate your kind words all the time and they have often made my day.

Hold your head high.. you're doing an amazing job... and I can't wait to read about more successes!

I think any exposure is good exposure especially if you're able to do something brave like you did.  Maybe not the best circumstances but I think this one still counts

HI Cd, just walking to the corner store is great, nice to have a dog to walk.  I made a workout mix on my ipod, so I play that when I walk to get me pumped up!!!! and i sing to myself aloud, people driving around must think i'm dotty..hehe

Cornish Dee,

Fantastic accomplishment! Sounds like you had a good day.

Shame about your husband but it is very hard for some people to admit, especially to another person who could judge them.

We do have a sister site: DepressionCenter.net

The program is available online as well as for print. There is also some information there for loved ones:

Cornish-Dee,

I think this is a great success as far as overcoming triggers goes! Congrats! You are one tough cookie!

Keep working through the program and it can only get better!

Depression of a loved one can be very hard to deal with. Are the pair of you receiving outside help?
