Heart palpatations/fluttering ALL DAY....

Thank you all for your advice. Woohh, that day was a longgg day for me! But i feel so much better today and yesterday...its beating more normal now. I'm thinking it could have been from a caffeine drink i had in the morning. I dont usually drink coffee but just thought i would try it out. I guess i was nervous drinking it cause i knew caffeine is not good for anxiety sufferers. Anyhow, i think i want to go see my doctor anyways. My thoughts obsess aroudn having a heart or artery problem. And i WILL NOT get over this until i check it out. Anyone ever get their arteries checked out for any blockages? If so, can you plz describe to me what kind of tests these are? Does an ECG test for this? Im' just curious cause i really want this checked out. Thanks

Angel, Anxiety can excite our hearts. It's best if your symptoms worsen or continue to persist to see your doctor. You may want to try anxiety reducing strategies and see if that helps. Ex: Deep breathing, a long bath, a distraction, listening to music, taking a walk. Hope you feel better soon. Danielle _____________________ The PC Support Team

Hi Angel, I know exactly what you are going through as I too experience palpitations all day. I spoke with my Doctor and here are some things that might help. 1. If you drink any caffienated beverages try to cut down 2. No chocolate 3. Try holding your breath to a count of 5 ( you might have to do this alot but it can help at times) 4. I find if I keep busy I do not notice it as much See your Doctor and let him/her know what is going on. I had an ecg and some blood work done but he thinks my heart is just fine and it's my anxiety causing the palpitations. I hope these suggestions help. Just know you are not alone.

Hiya angel, I don't really know what you mean by ear fluttering but i do know i get more heart palpitations when i am more stressed our, tired and/or anxious. I haven't experienced having it for a whole day yet but i have experienced having a heart beat of over 100-110 for a whole day and it really sucked. Doctors checked it out , said my heart was doing great just kinda being hyperactif gave me an ativan and sent me home. But having it checked out is really what did the trick for me not taking the ativan. But at least they had checked thouroughly that i was fine (altho real anxious), So my bestr advice to you is if it is really freaking you out do much call your doctor and discuss with him the possibility of having it checked out. Then you will feel better and if it ever happens again you will know you are safe. I know when my heart gets going real fast for whole days at a tie i don't feel so freaked out now because i know it is just stress and that i can take it and it won't hurt me. Anyway, need sleep... heading to bed. If you need to we can discuss this longer tomorrow when my brain actually feels like functionning lol. Till then hang in there! This too shall pass! -Diva

Hi everyone, Do any of you feel like your heart just dropssss out of nowhere.....and it starts beating abnormally like its fluttering or something. I used to have this occasionally, but it would happen once then stop. Today was horrible.......i have been having it the whole day, even now as I type! I really dont know what to do here. I'm not used to this and its freaking me out. Its just fluttering away. It feels like i'm on a roller coaster or something. Anyone ever have this last the whole day? anyone ever have this at all? Your input would be great. thanks
