Alcohol and smoking

Thanx pax!

Ya, I originally tried to quit both at the same time. That was a disaster. Then someone on this group says not to do both at once. It helped..I never thought to wait a full year in between but that a lot of sense! Thanks for replying.. I appreciate it.

Hey, Grapeseed, congrats on Your non-drinking first milestone!

I reccomend You focus on one thing at the time, trying to kick two addictions in a short period can be overwhelming and chalenging. When You get to one year alchochol free, than move on to smoking. I understand You feel You have the energy to quit both at the same time, personaly I know one person who did it but in hospital rehab, that is, controled enviroment.

Keep up the good score with non drinking and be patient, everything will come to it's place.

I have been alcohol free for months now. I am really proud of myself. I am now a non-drinker! I am trying to quit smoking now and it is just so hard. For some reason I find it harder to quit smoking..I don't know why. I must have had at least 10 failed quit attempts for smoking. Has anyone here successfully quit drinking and smoking? Or attempted to quit both? I could really use some support on this.
