Difficult times

Welcome Bobbie and Rusty1!

It is very common to be nervous. It shows that this change is important to you. I am glad you are also hopeful Bobbie! I think it is a good sign you and Rusty1 are starting off together. Be accountable to each other. Fighting this is easier with a bud.

I am new to this forum/support too.  I am hopeful too.   I hope your difficult times will be better soon.   If alcohol is contributing to the difficult times, you're taking the right steps.  Wishing you success.

Welcome to the forums Bobbie. I would suggest you read the book Alcoholics Anonymous. Especially the chapter "More about alcoholism". See if you can relate to the concepts presented in the chapter. They have some interesting stories how the mind of the alcoholic operates. Always coming up with some excuses to have a drink. Thats main problem of the problem drinker.

I am nervous about giving up, also I am new, but I am hopeful somewhere inside too
