I am sorry to read that Bman. It is normal to feel disappointed and discouraged. It is also normal to have slips and relapses - it is actually considered part of the healing process. The key is to learn from it and keep trying. Don't beat yourself up about it. What do you think you learned from this slip? What triggered it?

Sorry to hear that. In AA we call it the 'peculiar mental twist' the mind tricks us into taking a drink. Sometimes we don't even think, somebody offers a drink, we take it. That is the true part about powerlessness. Consider atleast reading the book alcoholics anonymous. The chapter "more about alcoholism" has some good pointers.
