Hi Mara!
I haven't been back on this site in quite a while and was just checking in looking for an old friend when I read your post. I wanted to reach out to you and give you an idea---have you looked into the site "tired of thinking about drinking" and the 100 day challenge? If you are looking for daily support and feedback this is a really great thing to add to your sober tool box.  It made all the difference for me and I'm on day 432 of absolutely no alcohol. Here are a couple of things I will tell you----it only gets better. Sober laughter is the best. You'll find that everything is better sober even problems aren't as bad.  Check out the 100 day challenge---Belle is the gal that runs the site and the 100 day challenge. She is a God send. Let me know what you think and good luck! Keep posting!!

Thanks for responding Foxman. I’ll keep searching for a path that works for me. I don’t mind not drinking. I do journal, meditate, read, exercise, paint, etc. still, I miss letting my hair down and having fun. I’m not willing to
Go through my life being ”spiritual” 100 percent of the time. I’ll figure it out. Peace Mara

For me its about being at the gatherings. Yeah I am clumsy dancer so I dont dance. Alcohol gave me the courage to do all stuff and made a clown of myself. I dont have to do that anymore. I can be just me. I would just you can read some spiritual book and learn to go deep inside within. Meditation is about that journey inward.

Hello all, I am very disappointed at the lack of posting to this site. I don’t feel the support I was hoping for but I will carry on for a bit longer. I am 30 days clean and clear today. While I feel good and have no intention of diving back into the bottle of wine, I am feeling sad that I will never again look forward to a party, celebration the way I used to.. The “fun factor” is missing. Any thoughts or advice would be welcome. Thanks, Mara
