The have seen me sneak out for buying more booze, observed my drinking at home and at parties. So, I nothing to hide from them. But seven years into recovery, they have seen me change. My 11 year old son knows what we do at the AA meetings today. Few years earlier he thought, its kind of a bar where we do controlled drinking (LOL). My family today is very supportive of me taking time out of my regular life to go out and help other alcoholics who are still out there. Its all about balance, they know that I need this for the rest of my life.
