Have you ever found yourself in a loud venue such as a bar drinking? Research has shown that environments with loud music can lead to an increase in the amount you drink in a shorter period of time.

Fast music can cause fast drinking and therefore causes individuals to spend more time in bars. Researchers spent time in a bar observing individuals drinking. While doing so, the researchers manipulated the music’s sound level to reveal that when the music was turned up louder, people would in fact consume more alcohol.
