thanks Josie

I'm not retired, just haven't been able to work for years because of my addiction.  I'm also slightly agoraphobic, so I have to plan when I go out to buy groceries, etc.

SNAP,

Remember to keep busy and active!

You will have more time so spend it apart and together!

Are you retired?
Have you joined a center for active adults?

This is an amazing time for you both, so take advantage!

hi Diane7 -- you said: "Perhaps a 10KM? "    my husband will be 60 yrs old this year, he can hardly walk, he has had several strokes, he smokes and eats poorly (when I'm not around)

I'm almost 58 yrs, while I don't smoke, I'm not in the best of shape either ...

thanks for the suggestion tho :)

Making goals together to accomplish something would probably be an amazing idea.  Perhaps a 10KM?  What an exciting step that would be to complete that together.  Speaking from personal experience, I lost my significant other with one of the main contributers being alcohol.  I truly wish you the best!!  Take care!

my husband and I have been drinking buddies through our whole time knowing each other and our marriage.  There isn't much else we have in common...  the dynamics are going to shift to something totally different, and I'm ok with that, he probably is too...  it's just going to be strange
