Why did you quit?

Hi everyone, I don't want to be a hypocrit by posting here as I am no where near being able to say that I have quit, but I am feeling good about a small victory last night where I was able to stay sober, and for a Friday night that is pretty good for me. So for the title questions "why did you quit?" It all comes down to my family, they are why I am really trying so hard to beat this. I need to be a better role model for my son so he doesn't turn out like me. Jack

My reasons for quitting: * My health ( starting to have scary health problems ) * My future ( at 38, I have to get serious ) * My beatiful sons ( I'm a single Dad who need me to be sober ) * Friends and family ( who see potential being wasted ) ... my top 4, anyway :)

My reasons for quitting: * Better health * Have more time to tackle hobbies and career ambitions * Money saved * Be my best me :) I've learnt that I never was really comfortable with who I was. I used alcohol to make me feel invincible when I felt vulnerable. I'm still not happy with who I am and my urges are strongest when I feel vulnerable but I'm working at it. Who's next? Eagle

Members, When our perseverance begins to falter, it can be helpful to review the reasons we reduced or quit drinking. Please share yours! What has changed in your life? What have you learned thus far? Danielle ________________________
